I write a log of my activities on the left, while keeping record of my child's developments on the right. I also save precious memories in a fun way with photos and stamps! Awesome!

I use the left side for planning my schedule. Color-coding can make me more aware of time management. On the right, put down information learned, meeting notes and so on next to my schedule so it can be kept in one place and made visually identifiable.

If I put my own schedule on the left like me, and my family’s schedules on the right, it will be easier to keep track of everybody’s whereabouts. Also, I am logging what I eat every day helps me manage my health.

Keeping a study log helps me visualize what I have studied and the hours I've put in, in a form such as a bar graph. On the bottom, I added in what I've learned or reflections of the day.

The weekly layout helps me keep track my child's food, sleep and health over the week and makes it easy to look back on. I can also look back at my meals over the course of a week, which helps with meal planning.

As part of my health management, I could log my daily steps and weight. I could also create line and bar charts using the ruled line as a scale.

I use the customizable space in the weekly layout to keep a “gratitude log” where I write down who I want to thank that day, and why. Writing this log before going to bed helps me fall asleep with a happy feeling.

In the 100 Wishes List, I write down my own personal dreams, big and small. In the Book List, I write down the related books I want to read. I use the Gantt chart to log each step towards my dreams. I’m glad I can track progress I’m making, no matter how small the steps.

I have a “study savings log” where I save $1 after 30 minutes of daily study. It’s fun to do, and it motivates me to study. When I’ve saved up a bit, I buy my favorite expensive tea and take a break.

I’m face-to-face with my baby day after day. Every little thing is a treasure - what the baby ate and learned to do - so I write it down, little by little every day. When my child is older, I’ll have fun looking back on this record together!

I use several notebooks. In the JIBUN_TECHO, for example, I write down my impressions of my new stationery purchases! When I try out the items I’ve gone to the trouble of buying, I love them, so I’m glad I created this page. I also start by writing about the fun I had meeting my friends, like a journal entry!

I find it helpful to note down the dates of my Instagram campaigns, so I don’t forget, and maybe write few to-dos! My notebook mops up the information overspill from my brain. It’s for my eyes only, so I try to be honest with myself and write everything down.

Now and then I write about things that occur to me that I want to try, or my own thoughts, as the mood takes me. I note down things I’d like to do someday, and I reflect on the habits I need to change, and the things I need to be more broad-minded about. And when somebody I know acts in a way that makes me go “Wow! I want to be like that too!” I try and note it down right away so I won’t forget.

I go ahead and write down negative things as well. That’s because when I look back over my notebook later, I’ll be able to see what mistakes I made in the past, what kind of thoughts made me depressed, and how I was feeling. I believe that everything that happens in my life, good and bad, makes me who I am. I hope that, when I’ve grown as a person, I’ll look back on this log of negative things and think, “How ridiculous! Why did I worry about this stuff?” (Smile)

I don’t set myself a rule that I have to write something every day. For me, a notebook is just an extended version of a note to myself. It’s not like someone is going to scold me if I don’t fill it in, or like I’ll have to show it to anyone. It’s more important that I complete the tasks that need to be done, on time, and have people see the results of my efforts.

・Method 1: Sticking in washi tape.
・Method 2: Sticking in ticket stubs and business cards from stores I’ve visited. This transforms it into a mini travel log!
・Method 3: Sticking in stickers. My latest favorites are cute transparent stickers. The time spent at the store choosing stickers for my notebooks is also a bit of fun in my busy day.
・In a separate notebook, I write down the good things and opportunities that happened that day! (The image shows how I use the “meaning note” system.)

・I use a different highlighter pen color for each schedule category.
・When I want an item to stand out more than highlighter, or I want to lift my mood, I write on a sticky note to make it pop more.
・When I’ve completed a task, I draw a circle in blue pen, or a thick strike-through line, to say to myself, “I did it! Congratulations! Awesome! Good job!”
・I use a pen that suits my mood at the time. I’m not the type that cares about color-coding and so on.

・Using date labels makes my notebook more colorful and motivates me to write entries!
・I recommend having plenty of pens on hand! I keep a lot of pens in my KOKUYO Third Field standing tool pouch and my Cark pen stand. I love choosing one of my favorite pens to write in my notebook!
・The time I spend updating my notebook is a small, special moment in my everyday life. As for the accompanying beverage, I like coffee. ♬♬ I love the taste of coffee, but the act of sipping it slowly in my favorite cup is even more important to me! Go with what makes you feel good, right?

For 2022, I use the monthly section for my social media log. To be exact, I write down what I’ve uploaded to my social media sites, and the campaigns I’ve entered or won. I don’t write a lot, but doing it in this purpose-specific way makes it much easier to see and understand myself.

Two items I stuck in my JIBUN_TECHO are the business card for the restaurant where I had a gorgeous year-end dinner, and the ticket for my first snowboarding trip of the winter. They bring back fond memories and boost my motivation every time I see them!

Book List: Rather than simply listing the books I’ve read, I write the reason why I wanted to read the book, alongside the title! I put all my impressions on the right-hand page, so each book has one line of content across the double-page spread. I haven’t read all the books on my list, but when I look back later, maybe I’ll think, “Oh, right, I wanted to read that book!” So I recommend adding a book to your list as soon as you think you might want to read it sometime! Of course, my impressions of each book are also important, and I try to leave an honest account of how I felt at the time, like when a book I didn’t think would be interesting turned out to be surprisingly interesting. It’s nice to know how many books you've read in a year. (*'ω'*)

The annual schedule: this is a pretty important page for me! I write down my work schedule and the days when I had personal meetings, not as a schedule for the future, but retrospectively, in terms of what actually happened. If I were to simply write out my work schedule from top to bottom, it would be difficult to see how many months any given project was going on. But if I write on the yearly page, I can look at the whole year at once, and see which projects I was working on over which time periods. I also find this very useful when writing my review of each project at the end of the year, as I forget easily (smile). Rather than spending 100% of my working time on a given project at any given time, I sometimes spend 70% on project A, 30% on project B, and so on. So it makes it easier for me to review things later if I log this extra information properly.

Favorite Phrases: I write down phrases I happened to come across, that I feel a connection with. Rather than aiming to fill in all the lines, I want to create a list of phrases that resonated with me at the time. It doesn’t matter how many there are. For me, the significance lies in enriching myself through the very act of writing down and collecting the phrases. Incidentally, I’ve started to realize that it’s also important to me to know when and in what sort of context I encountered each phrase, so from now on I’m going to include that information.

When I am too busy to spend enough time on my planner, I try to do the least I can using just a part of the planner. I limit my efforts by describing the day in one line or just one word. Sometimes it's important to be gentle and honest with your own state.

I take a daily weight record every morning using a weekly planner. (I read in a book that it helps you keep track of your diet and control your weight). This way I could develop the habit of opening my planner every morning and checking my schedule for the day.
The key to being consistent is to do a little bit for a long time. I don't write when I'm not in the mood. When I look back at the blank spaces later, I would see how I was feeling back then. If I don't have the time to journal at night, I let myself do it the next day. The purpose is simply to keep a log of my own life. But after several blank days, I can't even remember what I ate. lol

2020 - I used another Weekly planner. I didn't want the notes column on the right side to be blank, so I did my best to write down my daily routine but I stopped after a few months. After that, I managed to continue using just the Gantt chart.
2021 - I started using Jibun Techo Weekly planner. I was able to resume the efforts by not pushing myself too hard and logging things like my work hours and plans, weight in the morning, TO DO, a one-word gratitude log, and what I ate.
2022 - I started using Jibun Techo Biz Weekly. This year, I added some twists to the way I use my planner. For example, I decorated the sleep time column (which tends to be blank) with cute date sheets, made a simple log using clock stamps to show how long I used my smartphone, and recorded Nine Star Ki horoscope readings. I plan to start writing about my days in more detail when I can.

I kept a news log to keep abreast of the social situation. When I was overwhelmed by all the COVID-19 news, I intentionally looked for other topics to write about. Sometimes I wrote about my thoughts, sometimes I just recorded the facts. Since I see the news every day, there was never a day when I didn't have anything to write about, which made it easy for me to keep up with the habit.

When I have nothing to write about, I don't write at all. The fact that "nothing really happened" is a log in itself, and I just accept it. When I have a special event, I use as much space as I want to write about it. I think it's natural that we all have different events and amount of things to write about in life, and that's fine!

I wasn't so good at drawing at first, but after a few months, I began to create works that I was happy with. When I can't draw well, I refer to photos I took that day and draw as I see.
I use color pencils for coloring. The touch of color pencils makes food look delicious. I draw outlines whenever I can and add colors for those works later.
